Evidence-Based Practice

Drawing on our years of teaching in schools and coaching at club level, we’ve developed evidence-based programs that allows kids to Learn, Grow and Xceed in a safe and positive environment.
We are dedicated to delivering the highest quality sessions by continually reviewing and applying the latest research in sports coaching and education. Our programs evolve as new evidence emerges, ensuring every child benefits from best-practice coaching.

Growth
Mindset

It's okay to fail - that's
how we learn!
A growth mindset is core to our sessions. This model of coaching simply highlights that challenges aren’t something to fear — they are opportunities to learn.
If a child doesn’t achieve a task first time, we encourage them to try again. The intention here is not necessarily to master the task first time, but to foster the perseverance to keep going. It’s about having a positive mindset to achieving your goals.
In doing this, we cultivate confidence, resilience, and adaptability in every child - qualities that extend beyond sport and flow into all areas of life.
Learning through playing games. There is nothing like the real thing!
Games Centred
Approaches

Imagine a coach making kids do a passing drill for 30mins, then dribbling round cones for another 30mins. Although these drills do have their place – it gets a bit boring right?
That’s why we primarily utilise a game centred approach. This model allows students learn skills and techniques through simply playing games, focusing on understanding strategies and skills in a game context rather than repetitive isolated drills.
The research tells us that children gain cognitive skills more quickly like decision making, positioning and tactical awareness. But most importantly – they have more fun doing it. It’s a win win!

Developing a holistic understanding of sport and physical activity.
Sport Education Models

We go beyond teaching physical skills. Children will get the opportunity to experience an authentic experience of sport.
They will explore what it feels like - not just to be a player in a team - but also what it means to be a coach, captain, manager, score keeper, referee, and motivator. During our camps and sessions – children will develop a deeper understanding of how teams work and what it takes to Xceed together.
We place a strong emphasis on developing team culture and on nurturing inter-personal qualities such as leadership, empathy, communication and collaboration.

Cooperative learning is all about children working together towards a shared goal.
By teaming up to solve problems during game-based scenarios, they learn to communicate, support one another, and build strong friendships while having fun.
Rather than always being in direct competition, children are encouraged to motivate each other in their development - creating a more positive team ethos and inclusive environment.
