Frequently Asked Questions
Health and Wellbeing and Emergencies
Are your coaches First Aid trained? Yes - all our coaches are first aid and epi-pen trained. There will always be a first aid kit on site. Accidents and scrapes are a natural part of play. For minor incidents, an accident form will be completed and shared with you when you collect your child. In the event of a more serious accident, we will contact you immediately by phone.
What insurance do you have? We have public liability and employer’s liability insurance.
What if my child has a medical condition – can they still attend? Yes – Xceed Kids Sport is a safe and inclusive space for all young people. We will accommodate the needs of your child and their medical condition with complete professionalism, care and attention.  At the time of booking, an option for allergy details/medical information should be given if required. If you need any further assistance, please email our team at admin@xceedkids.com.au
What if my child has a nut-allergy – can they still attend? Yes – our camps and sessions are ‘nut-free’ zones.
What do you do in the event of extreme weather (hot temperature and/or rain)? Indoor Options: Where possible, and depending on the programe and venue availability, we will move sessions indoors if extreme heat or heavy rain is expected. Session Rescheduling: If indoor space is not available and we need to cancel a session due to extreme weather, we will simply add an additional day at the end of the program block to ensure your child doesn’t miss out. Sun Safety: We operate a ‘No Hat, No Play’ policy. Parents are encouraged to apply sunscreen before arrival and ensure their child brings a labelled water bottle. Factor 50+ sunscreen will also be available on-site, and our coaches will remind children to reapply during session breaks.
Arrivals and Collections
What does my child need to bring for the block sessions? For our block sessions, please bring: Water Bottle - with child’s name on it. Any medication required - Young person and parent must inform staff where this medication is. Staff can hold onto this in a safe secure place on site. Suitable clothing - for sport (indoor and/or outdoor) activities, prepared for varying weather conditions. Shorts and t-shirt recommended. Hat and/or sunscreen - please ensure sunscreen is applied before arriving at camp. Suitable footwear – trainers recommended. No need to bring: Mobile phones - we encourage children to be fully engaged in activities, so phones are not to be used during block sessions or camp. If your child does bring one, it must stay securely in their own bag. Sports equipment – we provide everything needed for the activities. Money or valuables – including non-essential jewellery, as we cannot be responsible for lost items.
What time should I arrive to pick up my child? Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of the session to give your child time to settle in and become comfortable with their surroundings. This also allows our coaches to make any necessary introductions before we begin. For pick-up, we ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes before the end of the session to ensure a smooth and safe collection process. For parents attending the Pre-Kindy and Kindy programs, we encourage you to stay with your child for the duration of the session and join in if you feel comfortable — it’s a great way to share the experience together!
What if we arrive late for the start of the session? That’s okay — your child can join the session at any time. Please just contact our team as soon as possible to let us know.
What if a parent/guardian running late for collection? If you’re running late, please contact our team immediately. Our coaches will remain with your child until a parent or guardian arrives to collect them safely.
